Anthropic Lines Up 10 Banks for IPO as It Admits Underestimating Computing Demand

Anthropic has 10 named banks as underwriters for its planned IPO and acknowledged it once substantially underestimated computing demand, pairing its offering preparations with a past computing-power forecasting error. Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and UBS are among the institutions in the group. The named roster also includes JPMorgan, Citi, Bank of Montreal (BMO), BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole and Jefferies. Those banks are identified as underwriters for Anthropic’s IPO, forming a 10-bank group connected to the planned offering. Anthropic’s computing-power remark addresses a separate point: the company said it significantly underestimated demand in the past.
