Anthropic Announces Singapore Office and AI Safety Cooperation Pact

Anthropic announced a Singapore office and a government pact focused on artificial intelligence, expanding its Asia-Pacific presence in a country where Claude.ai use ranks second per capita among 121 countries. Kai Fong Chng, permanent secretary at Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information, signed the memorandum with Anthropic co-founder Ben Mann during Singapore International Cyber Week. The Singapore location will be Anthropic’s fifth office in Asia-Pacific. The agreement covers AI safety and security, model evaluation, research into AI applications and responsible adoption across public and private sectors.
