Anthropic adds /storage command to Claude desktop for storage management

A new command lets Claude desktop users see how much disk space the app is using and clear out stale tasks and worktrees Anthropic has given Claude desktop users a way to answer an old question: where did all my disk space go? The company added a /storage command that shows how much local storage the app is using. It also lets users clear inactive tasks and unused worktrees. The feature was publicly announced by Lydia Hallie on November 4–5, 2026. It targets a growing pain for people who lean on Claude’s local features.
