American Express Sets Q3 Results Release With 10% Growth Outlook in Focus

American Express plans to post its third-quarter results at roughly 7 a.m. ET (11:00 UTC) Friday, Oct. 23, giving investors an update on card spending, fee income and benefit costs against its 10% full-year revenue-growth outlook. A conference call is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 UTC). The results will follow a second quarter in which revenue net of interest expense rose 10% year over year to $19.637 billion and billed business, a measure of spending on the company’s cards, reached $455.8 billion, up 9% on both reported and foreign-exchange-adjusted bases. Several revenue streams grew in Q2.
