Alphabet priced €6 billion in notes across seven tranches on Nov. 2, equivalent to about $6.72 billion at that day’s exchange rate. The notes are scheduled to settle Nov. 5. The pricing comes as Alphabet’s capital spending weighs on quarterly cash flow. The company recorded negative $9.1 billion in free cash flow during the third quarter, which it attributed to capital spending. It ended the quarter with $265.1 billion in cash and marketable securities. Microsoft reported a different cash flow result for its quarter ended Sept.
