AI Sessions Put Year-End Bitcoin Price Near $80,000 But Show No Reproducible Calculation

Four AI sessions put Bitcoin’s (BTC) Dec. 31, 2026, closing price between $78,000 and $85,000, but none produced a reproducible calculation, limiting what the estimates reveal about the systems’ forecasting ability. An Oct. 23 exercise asked OpenAI’s ChatGPT voice, xAI’s Grok voice and Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5 in text and voice to forecast Bitcoin’s closing price on Dec. 31, 2026. Five prompts covered past market cycles, on-chain activity, institutional adoption and economic conditions. The exercise did not identify the version of Grok voice used. ChatGPT voice and Grok voice each ended at $82,000.
