Global data-center electricity consumption is projected to more than double by 2030. The outlook puts power generation and grid access in focus as AI facilities expand, including utilities, nuclear operators, and suppliers of gas turbines and fuel cells. In the United States, developers face long grid-connection delays : securing a connection can take up to seven years.
