Abu Dhabi entities signed four agreements with OpenAI on Monday covering government, energy and investment, as Abu Dhabi pursues its goal of becoming the world’s first fully AI-native government. Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman attended the signing. One agreement would organize government information so AI systems can process it, with intended uses in regulatory compliance and investment analysis. A pilot is underway at the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA). Another agreement covers bringing OpenAI’s frontier models to infrastructure based in the UAE.
