A transaction on Ethereum moved 271,930,802 USD Coin (USDC) from an address labeled Coinbase Institutional to an address labeled Coinbase on Thursday, Nov. 5, showing a large stablecoin movement without establishing who controls either address or why the funds moved. The transfer was recorded at 1:31 p.m. ET (18:31 UTC). The transaction records the token movement and the two addresses; their labels do not identify a client or establish wallet ownership. A separate transfer of 261,739,220 USDC reached Coinbase from an unidentified address on Oct. 30, in a previously covered transaction .
