Zilliqa’s Planned Ethereum Layer 2 Would Require Verified vLEIs

Zilliqa’s planned institutional Ethereum Layer 2 would allow only wallets linked to a verified verifiable Legal Entity Identifier (vLEI) to transact, making company credentials a condition for network access. The network, called the Zilliqa Institutional Layer, is designed to settle on Ethereum mainnet. Institutions would get access first, and other users were promised access later. A vLEI is a cryptographic form of the Legal Entity Identifier that can verify a company and who is authorized to sign on its behalf.
