Zcash is cutting block times. What changes for users and miners?

Zcash’s NU7 upgrade will cut the target time between blocks from 75 seconds to 25, giving deposits a chance to confirm sooner while leaving exchanges to decide when to credit them. The upgrade also changes what miners earn from transactions, with 40% of fees going to miners and the remaining 60% set aside for future rewards. Zcash has scheduled its NU7 upgrade for block 3,543,405, when the network will cut its target time between blocks from 75 seconds to 25 and start setting aside most transaction fees for future mining rewards.
