A new proposal from Zcash builder Zakura aims to stop future quantum computers from linking shielded transaction history. Zcash developer Zakura has outlined a proposal to protect shielded transaction data from future quantum computing attacks. The plan centers on issuing a separate viewing key for each swap transaction, rather than reusing one key across multiple transfers. This change is meant to limit how much information a quantum-capable adversary could extract if encryption standards are eventually broken. Zcash is built around a shielded pool that encrypts sender, receiver, and amount data using zero-knowledge proofs.
