XRP (XRP) traded above $1.30 Tuesday, Oct. 20, in an afternoon snapshot that showed a roughly 3% weekly decline despite a gain over the preceding 24 hours. The token changed hands at $1.32281 at 3:24 p.m. ET (19:24 UTC). Its rolling 24-hour range was $1.28500 to $1.34473. An earlier Tuesday market snapshot placed XRP near $1.30 at 8:29 a.m. ET (12:29 UTC). XRP futures open interest stood at about $2.90 billion in the afternoon. Open interest measures outstanding futures positions, but the total alone does not show whether traders expect the price to rise or fall.
