Ripple now has a federally regulated bank. On October 26, the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) gave final approval to Ripple National Trust Bank. The decision completes a review that started when the regulator granted conditional approval in December 2025. The approval comes before Ripple Swell, the company’s annual conference. It makes Ripple one of only a few crypto-native firms operating under direct federal banking supervision in the United States. Ripple National Trust Bank will be built around the company’s dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD.
