XRP Ledger payments jump 479% but price remains flat amid Binance incident fallout

XRP Ledger saw a sharp increase in transferred volume on November 1, with on-chain data showing a 479% surge in payments compared to the previous day. The jump brought the amount of XRP moved between accounts to over 1.33 billion, according to network data. Despite this significant rise in activity, XRP’s price remained nearly unchanged and the broader market reaction was muted. XRP Ledger, which acts as the decentralized infrastructure enabling XRP transactions and settlements, experienced sluggish activity at the end of October. On October 31, network analytics indicated there were around 229 million XRP transferred between accounts.
