XRP Ledger Hits Major Milestone On Agentic Transactions

AI agents are paying for services on the XRP Ledger faster than anticipated. J. Ayo Akinyele, Head of Engineering at RippleX, confirmed on X that XRPL has now processed over 13 million agentic transactions across 166 x402 merchants. Agentic payments represent roughly 25% of all activity on the ledger today. Akinyele had predicted earlier this year that XRPL would quickly surpass 10 million agentic transactions . The network did, and it kept building. His latest assessment is that “100M might actually come sooner than we expect.” Transacting Without Human Approval AI agents now pay for APIs, compute, and data autonomously.
