An X account tracking Shiba Inu (SHIB) posted a reading of 1,696,223 Ethereum addresses holding the token on Friday, Oct. 30, putting the reported tally 3,777 addresses below 1.7 million. The account, @Etherscan_SHIB, also posted a year-to-date increase of 147,593 addresses and a daily increase of 210 on Friday. These figures describe addresses, not SHIB token amounts. A token-holder count tracks blockchain addresses that hold a token. It does not show how many individual people those addresses represent or how much SHIB each address holds. The count also does not explain why it changed.
