[Won daily] USD/KRW closes at 1,323.1, its lowest level this year

The South Korean won strengthened as USD/KRW closed at 1,323.1 won per dollar, down 1.5 won from the previous session and at its lowest level this year. The rate was 15.0% below the year's high of 1,555.8. The lower dollar-won rate put the won at its strongest closing level of the year. Bank of Korea published rates for October 26 showed USD/KRW opening at 1,324.0, down 0.6 won from the previous close of 1,324.6. It closed at 1,323.1, a further decline of 0.9 won during the session.
