Bitcoin traded near $83,000 on October 16, recovering from a brief slide below $80,000 the previous day, after a hotter-than-expected September producer price index report rattled risk assets. The rebound came as U.S. Treasury yields eased, the dollar weakened, and futures-implied odds of another Federal Reserve rate hike fell, helping the market claw back most of its inflation-driven losses. According to CoinGecko, Bitcoin changed hands around $83,300 on the morning of October 16, up roughly 0.3% over 24 hours and about 2.9% below its level a week earlier. Its 24-hour range spanned roughly $82,900 to $84,200.
