Whirlpool Corporation lowered its 2026 sales and earnings targets Monday after third-quarter net sales fell 8.8% year over year and the company recorded a $249 million loss available to common shareholders. Net sales for the quarter were $3.677 billion, compared with $4.033 billion a year earlier. Organic net sales, a company-reported non-GAAP measure, were $3.643 billion, down 5.4%. Reported year-over-year net sales were lower in 10 of the past 12 quarters through the third quarter of 2026, but those comparisons span portfolio changes and are not all like-for-like.
