U.S. spot bitcoin traded at a deeper discount to offshore markets, while institutional desk activity fell sharply. Equity-market volatility remained relatively calm, but crypto-specific demand signals pointed to weaker buying appetite. As of 1:40 p.m. KST on Oct. 11, the Coinbase premium moved from -0.0561% on Oct. 7 to -0.0754% on Oct. 8, -0.1099% on Oct. 9 and -0.0935% on Oct. 10, before falling to -0.1181% on Oct. 11. A negative reading means U.S. spot prices are cheaper than offshore prices. The premium stayed negative for five straight days, and the latest reading deepened, suggesting U.S. spot buying remains weak.
