The whole debate on AI is two-sided. Proponents believe that incorporating AI features will allow more seamless crypto transactions, increase efficiency of the blockchain, and make it more appealing to TradFi institutions. Opponents, on the other hand, argue that such technology could introduce new vulnerabilities and put smart contracts at risk, especially if the autonomous agents controlling them are compromised. Against this background, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin's recent X post has reignited the discussion. Buterin proposed a "paranoid mode" for AI agents that would help increase privacy and security.
