Visa And Mesh Want Crypto Wallet Balances To Work At 175 Million Merchants

TL;DR: Mesh and Visa have announced a partnership intended to let consumers spend cryptocurrency and stablecoins from participating wallet apps wherever Visa payments are accepted. Holding stablecoins is one thing. Actually spending them in a shop usually involves moving funds to an exchange, selling them, or relying on a separate payment product. Visa and Mesh are pitching a way to make that process less visible to the customer. Under their newly announced partnership, Mesh’s payment infrastructure will connect eligible crypto wallet balances with Visa’s acceptance network, spanning more than 175 million merchant locations.
