Virtana Brings Outside AI Agents Into IT Incident Response

Virtana introduced Agentic Observability Enterprise Management (AOEM) on Oct. 28, adding a system in which its AI can work alongside agents built by other providers during an IT disruption. The software is designed to coordinate investigations and corrective action across enterprise systems. AOEM connects agents through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A). It can bring together software focused on IT service management, cloud infrastructure, security and software development, allowing those specialized systems to contribute to a shared incident response. Virtana’s System-Aware MCP Server gives participating agents access to more than 25,000 real-time operational metrics.
