Vienna Unveils Satoshi Nakamoto Statue for 21-Country Art Project

Bitcoin Austria unveiled a reflective statue of Satoshi Nakamoto in Vienna's Viertel Zwei district on Oct. 14, adding Austria's first installation to a planned 21-country art project. The sculpture consists of 61 polished stainless-steel strips mounted on a weather-resistant steel base. Viewed head-on, the figure nearly disappears. A person standing behind it appears in the reflection where the statue's face would be, an effect that invokes the Bitcoin community's “We are all Satoshi” slogan. The statue is part of 21 Nodes, a project from Satoshi Gallery led by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi.
