Valor Energy Inc. has reached a $3.6 million agreement to acquire the owner of a Youngstown, Ohio, computing facility it plans to convert for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. The Oct. 19 deal covers all equity in the company that owns the 30,888-square-foot property. The price is subject to adjustment, and the purchase still requires due diligence and other approvals. The site has an existing connection to Ohio Edison and a stated capacity of about 18 megavolt-amperes (MVA). MVA measures apparent power; the rating alone does not establish how much electricity computing equipment could use.
