US Federal Reserve and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) supervisors began calling banks on Monday to ask about unusual activity or service disruptions after the Binance hack, Reuters reported on Thursday. Reuters cited people familiar with the matter, and the Fed and the OCC declined to comment. One bank reported no disruptions, according to the report. Its staff prepared talking points for customers but received few questions. Binance has put its loss at about US$6.34 billion (AU$9.07 billion), taken on 29 October in an attack the FBI has attributed to North Korea.
