US inflation increased again in September, according to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Consumer Price Index report from Wednesday shows prices increased 0.6% over the month, while annual inflation rose to 3.7%, up from 3.4% in August. In other words, consumer prices were 3.7% higher than in September 2025. The hotter-than-expected inflation report comes amid an unresolved conflict in the Middle East which has been going on for many months now, disrupting global fuel supplies.
