A wallet with no identified owner transferred 271 million Tether (USDT) tokens, worth about $271 million at their intended dollar value, to Binance on Oct. 20, placing a large amount of stablecoins on the exchange. The movement was recorded from an unknown wallet into Binance. It establishes the token, amount and destination, but does not identify the person or entity controlling the sending wallet. The transfer describes funds arriving at an exchange; it does not establish that a trade took place. USDT is a stablecoin designed to track the U.S. dollar.
