The U.S. Treasury Department has temporarily authorized transactions involving Russian diesel through April 7, 2027, as Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed Iran’s position on ending the conflict during a call with President Donald Trump. The Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control issued General License 135, allowing the sale, transport, unloading and import of Russian-produced diesel, including imports into the United States. The authorization runs through April 7, 2027. The license does not permit financial institutions in the United States to debit accounts belonging to Russia’s central bank, National Wealth Fund or Finance Ministry.
