A U.S. survey published in 2026 found men outnumbered women roughly two to one among current crypto owners, while a separate 2024 global estimate put women at 39% of owners. The findings cover different populations and use different methods, so they do not establish a shift in the global gender split. The global estimate put the number of crypto owners at 562 million, equal to 6.8% of the world’s population. Women made up 39% of those owners and men 61%.
