The U.S. and Israeli militaries have drafted plans for renewed strikes on Iran after Nov. 3 as President Donald Trump rules out a U.S. attack before the midterms and nuclear talks remain part of the standoff. The plans include flights over Iraq to rehearse strike maneuvers. Possible targets span nuclear facilities, energy infrastructure, and missile and drone arsenals. The target list remains unsettled, and no post-election operation has been publicly authorized. Trump wrote Oct. 8, “we will not be attacking Iran at any time prior to the Midterm Elections.” The White House repeated the pledge Wednesday.
