President Donald Trump has commended Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith for her efforts in securing over $2 billion for 360 projects across Mississippi. Highlighting her role as a “conservative fighter,” Trump’s endorsement could influence the Mississippi U.S. Senate race, where Hyde-Smith faces Democrat Scott Colom and independent Ty Pinkins. The endorsement comes amid a competitive race, with recent polling showing Hyde-Smith leading Colom by a narrow margin. Meanwhile, Senate Majority PAC has invested significantly in support of Colom, indicating a contested election. Observers should monitor any additional endorsements or campaign spending in the final days leading up to the election.
