Tokenized Stocks Need Capital and Redemption to Support Large Trades

Tokenized U.S. stocks can trade around the clock, but large orders still depend on market makers with capital and a working path to underlying shares, Gravity Team CEO Mārtiņš Beņķītis said. “Prices can reflect new information during the weekend. Making those prices usable for larger transactions requires funded capacity to take the other side,” Beņķītis said in a written interview published Oct. 29. Trading access means orders can be placed at more times; it does not ensure that enough buyers or sellers are available to fill a large order without moving the price.
