Tether’s XAUT Gold Reserves Reach 25.7 Metric Tons, Worth $3.44 Billion

Tether’s third-quarter reserve report showed physical gold backing Tether Gold (XAUT) at 827,418 troy ounces on Sept. 30, up 59% from year-end 2025 and equivalent to about 25.7 metric tons. At $4,157.41 per ounce, the gold was valued at about $3.44 billion. Reserves stood at 520,089 ounces, or about 16.2 metric tons, at the end of 2025. XAUT circulation was also 827,418 tokens. Each token represents one troy ounce of physical gold; about 709,000 tokens had been sold, with roughly 118,000 available for sale.
