Tesla Plans to Shift Texas Factory Capacity From Cybertruck to Cybercab

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the automaker plans to wind down Cybertruck production at Gigafactory Texas around mid-2027, freeing factory capacity for increased Cybercab output. Tesla’s year-end Cybercab delivery plans are a separate timeline from the planned factory shift. Cybercabs leaving the Texas plant are currently assigned to Tesla’s Robotaxi fleet. Musk has said most Cybercabs are expected to remain company-owned and provide transportation as a service. The Cybertruck production wind-down is planned for around mid-2027 to make room for more Cybercab production. John Kim reports on the digital-asset business for TokenPost.
