Tesla and Meta executives used different forms of “superintelligence” on third-quarter calls, while peers showed mixed usage, underscoring that President Donald Trump’s terminology order does not cover private firms. On Tesla’s Oct. 21 call, CEO Elon Musk discussed humanoid-robot demonstrations and said, “Some of them look very impressive, but they’re not really using any kind of advanced AI or SI.” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg described the company’s goal that day as “our goal of delivering personal superintelligence to everyone.” Musk paired “AI” with “SI,” while Zuckerberg used the longer phrase.
