Starknet Adds Shadow Accounts to Separate DeFi From Main Wallets

Starknet has added shadow accounts that let users participate in public decentralized finance applications without publicly linking that activity to their primary wallets. The accounts are independent, user-controlled addresses on the Starknet network. They draw funds from users’ protected STRK20 balances, while the relationship between a shadow account and its main wallet remains private. The feature does not hide activity conducted through a shadow account. Balances, transaction histories and holdings in applications remain visible on the blockchain, while the privacy protection focuses on separating that activity from the user’s primary wallet. Simon Yoon reports on blockchain technology for TokenPost.
