Tether has reported $1.5 billion in third-quarter net operating profit, while its excess reserves nearly doubled to almost $8 billion, strengthening the financial buffer backing the world’s largest stablecoin issuer. The company said its reserve buffer increased by approximately $3.5 billion during the quarter, bringing excess reserves to nearly $8 billion. The increase provides additional protection against potential losses and reinforces Tether’s ability to maintain the dollar peg of its USDT stablecoin.
