SpaceX Class A shares ended a month-long stretch slightly lower Friday, leaving a hypothetical $1,000 investment made at the Sept. 23 close worth about $994 at the Oct. 23 close. SpaceX Class A shares (SPCX) closed at $147.49 Friday, compared with $148.36 on Sept. 23. The close-to-close calculation puts the investment at about $994.14, a $5.86 loss, or 0.59%. It assumes fractional shares and excludes fees and taxes. The monthly result followed sharp swings. SPCX closed at $171.92 on Oct. 6, then fell to $144.75 on Oct. 22. The stock gained 7.79% on Oct.
