Around four months after its public debut, Space X (NASDAQ: SPCX ) holds approximately six times as much cash and cash equivalents as Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA ). More precisely, the space exploration company has $93.5 billion in cash and cash equivalents, while the carmaker has only $15.2 billion, according to data Finbold retrieved from CNBC on October 28. The 515% ($78.3 billion) difference in the two companies’ financial positions, however, excludes short-term investments, which can significantly change the picture of a company’s overall liquidity.
