Sony backed Ethereum layer 2 network Soneium has announced plans to issue a native ecosystem token called SONEIUM as it expands into tokenized entertainment rights and new investment products tied to music, anime, games, and other creative works. Sony backed Soneium has announced plans for its native SONEIUM token, although a launch date and tokenomics have not been disclosed. The network is introducing new investment products that will let creators raise funds through tokenized entertainment IP and royalty arrangements. Soneium will launch its Tokenized IP initiative with Moriusa and plans to bring K-pop concert royalties onchain through DayOneDream.
