Some investors see Apple as a way to maintain technology exposure while relying less on the AI infrastructure trade during market volatility. The recent divergence from chip stocks has drawn attention to Apple as a possible counterweight, though the trading pattern has reversed before. Apple gained 2% in the week ended Oct. 16. Over the same period, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell more than 11%, while a Magnificent Seven stock index declined 3.1%.
