Solana processed 14.2 billion non-vote transactions in Q3 2026, up 45% from Q2, even as its active validator count fell from 696 to 659. The figures pair higher transaction activity with a smaller block-producing set. An active validator was one that produced at least one block during the sampled epoch. Active stake rose by 13.4 million SOL to 440.5 million, equal to 69% of supply, up from 68% in Q2. That milestone was covered in TokenPost’s earlier staking coverage .
