Silver Rises 1.96% to $49.831 an Ounce, Outpacing Gold

Silver advanced 1.96% to $49.831 an ounce by 8 p.m. ET Sunday, Nov. 1 (01:00 UTC Monday, Nov. 2), outpacing gold in the market snapshot. Gold added 0.53% to $3,900.63 an ounce, making silver's daily gain 1.43 percentage points larger. European benchmarks were lower at the same time. The Europe 50 Index fell 1.05% to 6,117.17, Germany's DAX40 lost 0.15% to 25,827.8, and the U.K. FTSE 100 eased 0.03% to 10,723.1. The Europe 50 Index had the largest decline among the three. Oil prices also slipped.
