Seawolf Capital Shorts CoreWeave Over Potential Funding Needs

Seawolf Capital said it is short CoreWeave, arguing the AI computing provider may need tens of billions of dollars in new financing to buy chips and cover a projected 2027 free cash flow gap. Co-founder Vincent Daniel said the position began with an analysis of CoreWeave’s business model. CoreWeave rents out AI computing capacity powered by high-end graphics processing units, or GPUs, and must keep investing in the expensive chips that power it. Seawolf’s thesis also reflects its view of CoreWeave’s balance-sheet leverage.
