Schwartz Says XRP Ledger May Suit Some Bank Payments Better Than Ethereum and Solana

David Schwartz, Ripple’s former chief technology officer, argued in an interview that aired Saturday that banks may find the XRP Ledger better suited than Ethereum or Solana for some payment and on-chain finance uses. He cited the network’s speed, low transaction costs and institutional adoption. XRP Ledger transactions take three to five seconds, and financial institutions are adopting the network for payment settlements and decentralized finance applications. Those speed, cost and adoption claims concern the XRP Ledger, the network; XRP is the digital asset.
