Saylor Points to Florida and Texas Officials in Bitcoin Reserve Argument

Strategy founder and Chairman Michael Saylor said the case for holding Bitcoin (BTC) is crossing party lines, pointing to newly elected officials in Florida and Texas. Republican Florida Gov.-elect Byron Donalds previously introduced H.R. 2112. The bill would have given legal force to an executive order to establish a federal Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and a digital asset reserve. Democratic U.S. senator-elect from Texas James Talarico voted for SB21 while serving in the state House. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed the bill into law in 2025, establishing the Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
