Samsung and SK Hynix Shares Rally as Kospi Posts Biggest Daily Gain Since February

Both chipmakers reportedly target Q2 2027 shipments of eight-layer HBM4 chips to Nvidia. SK Hynix is reportedly weighing a special dividend of about 16 trillion won but has made no decision. SK Hynix reports Q3 results on October 28, followed by Samsung on October 29. South Korean stocks rallied on Tuesday as renewed interest in artificial intelligence lifted investor mood. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix led the gains.
