Ryanair plans to begin an €800 million share buyback in February 2027 as it expects FY2028 fuel costs to climb by €2 billion, a rise it does not expect higher fares to cover fully. The airline’s planned response includes fare increases, labor-cost measures and opportunistic fuel hedging. Ryanair’s FY2027 passenger target is 214 million, down from 216 million; TokenPost previously covered the 214 million projection in its report on the airline’s second-quarter results . Passenger traffic rose 6% in the first half, while fares fell 4% during the peak summer period.
